The Quality Learning and Teaching (QLT) initiative at SF State was established in 2013, in coordination with the California State University to provide a framework to support faculty in self and peer analysis of effective course design. The QLT initiative is centered around an evaluation instrument containing 10 sections and 57 objectives that is used to evaluate and inform the quality of course design and teaching strategies.
At SF State University we've cultivated a community of practice dedicated to quality learning and teaching. This QLT community includes the QLT Ambassadors program, QLT Cohort mentoring and professional development series, and QLT Certification process.
